Multi-Day Indian Western Classic Wedding

Bethany and Mathew’s love story began with the help of not one but three different matchmakers! And who’d want to bet against those odds? They decided to go on a blind date – and found a connection that would last a lifetime. 

The Proposal

Mathew planned a romantic weekend getaway at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise to celebrate the completion of Bethany’s medical residency in Psychiatry. During a hike along the shores of Lake Agnes, Mathew popped the question in front of the stunning reflection of the mountains in Lake Louise. He even arranged for a photographer to capture the special moment! 

The Big Day

They planned their wedding with their guests’ experience in mind, choosing the Fairmont Hotel MacDonald’s Empire Ballroom for the Indian Soiree and the JW Marriott Edmonton’s Wayne Gretzky Ballroom for the Western Reception. 

They hoped for a wedding week that would bring together everything that was most important to them – family, friends, food, and fun. They planned events honouring their cultural and religious backgrounds and wanted a relaxed and romantic atmosphere with a timeless glamour and classic elegance aesthetic.

Being the only girl in her family, Bethany couldn’t wait for her father to walk her down the aisle! Mathew’s favourite moment was also watching his bride accompany him as they embarked on a new chapter together!
