Rustic Heather Mountain Wedding

Anastasia and Don had a brief first encounter at a small pub in Red Deer. Sharing a mutual friend, the two reconnected several months later and Don asked Anastasia for her number.

The Proposal

Then seven years after that, the two got engaged on the beach in the south of France while camping in their 1964 Volkswagen van.

The Big Day

“The next year of planning was filled with fun memories and lots of great quality time spent together and with loved ones,” says Anastasia, “our rustic wedding was everything we hoped it would be…fun, relaxed and beautiful.” The variety of colours—such as shades of pink, brown, grey, white, and denim—blended sweetly to create a soft romantic ambiance, while the homemade decorations by close family and friends surrounded the couple and guests in a blanket of love. Heather Mountain Lodge was the perfect venue to say “I do” because of its breathtaking scenery and amazing food.

Anastasia, stunning in a Boho Chic head wrap veil, says her favourite moment was seeing Don at the end of the aisle; when their eyes met, it all became real.

Don’s favourite moment was taking photos at Kinbasket Lake—he cherished the quiet, alone time with his bride.
