There’s a New Show in Town! Engaged, Calgary’s Latest Bridal Show

After years of watching newly engaged couples leave wedding expos exhausted, overwhelmed, and with nothing but bags of business cards, Jasmine Esau (planner at Reflections Weddings and Events) and Monica Watson (planner at Picture Perfect Weddings) dreamed of a different kind of wedding show.
They envisioned a positive and purposeful experience for both vendors and clients, and created Engaged—a personalized and interactive wedding show in Calgary. “We designed Engaged to empower couples to plan their weddings at the show and give them the tools to continue that planning after they leave.”
A limited number of tickets and staggered entry times ensures both couples and vendors don’t get overwhelmed by huge crowds. Start off with a complimentary glass of champagne or beer at the Welcome Lounge and pick up a planning guide with a full vendor directory. The rest of the show is literally a step-by-step guide to wedding planning; enter the Core Vendor area to meet with planners, venue coordinators, officiants, DJs and photographers before diving into the small details. Rather than have thirty different businesses for the same category, Esau and Watson selected a few quality vendors to help couples nail down their wedding style.
Meander through the Inspiration Showcase to peruse different decorated tablescapes (with pricing for each item), sample food and beverages, listen to live music, and even get a dance lesson! Get tickets to the evening Gala to hear wedding planning tips from local experts while feasting on a six-course dinner complete with wine pairings.
Satisfy your sweet tooth with a cake tasting, buy a beautiful bouquet and get pampered in the Marketplace with a hot shave for him and a hair and makeup trial for her. You can even book a custom suit fitting and boutique dress consultation!
If you leave the show with some boxes still unchecked, the Vendor Concierge will do your homework and find all the reputable city and mountain vendors available for your date.
