Aga Khan Garden Wedding

Second Time Around With 200 Guests!

Posted by Blush Magazine Posted on December 31, 2021

Christina and Dany met in high school—or so they thought until a mutual friend looked through old photos from her childhood. She found a photo of the couple when they were just four years old, standing beside each other at one of her birthday parties. It seemed as if Christina and Dany were destined to be together.

The Proposal

The high school sweethearts planned a trip to Mexico with friends to celebrate graduating from university. Before the first night ended they had another reason to celebrate: Dany asked Christina to be his wife as they walked along the beach.

The Big Day

Although they couldn’t have the grand wedding they envisioned on their original date due to COVID restrictions, Christina and Dany decided to make things official in an intimate ceremony. After numerous date changes, they finally got to host their big party in September 2021. The bride and groom wanted an open and beautiful outdoor space for their ceremony, and they loved how the secluded amphitheatre at the Aga Khan Garden still felt intimate for their 200 guests.

Favourite Moments

Even though this was their second wedding, the moment they locked eyes as Christina walked down the aisle still felt completely special and meaningful. After round two of “I do’s” they held a lavish reception at The Grand Imperial.

Advice from the Newlyweds

“Enjoy the process and remember to look at the bigger picture when things get stressful. At the end of the day you’re one step closer to walking down the aisle to your person and that’s what matters.”

Looking Forward to Most Now Being Married

Now that the party is over, Christina and Dany look forward to enjoying life together—from cooking to honeymooning in Italy in 2022 to one day starting their own family
