Elegant Summer Wedding
Jessica + Cody: Elegant Summer WeddingPosted by Blush Magazine • Posted on September 12, 2020
Jessica and Cody met while out for lunch with friends, and although they hardly spoke Cody was determined to date her. A casual text message from him later that day was the first step on their journey to marital bliss.
The Proposal
While in Vancouver for a family event, Cody told Jessica they were meeting his aunt in Queen Elizabeth Park. As he led her towards a magnificent old tree, she noticed pictures of them hanging from its branches and a table decorated with lanterns, flowers and a sign that read “Will You Marry Me?” After a tearful proposal, Cody opened a box containing two champagne glasses and a lock engraved with “Forever and Always.” They placed the lock on a statue of a dancing couple, popped the champagne and started planning their dream wedding.
The Big Day
The Fairmont Hotel Macdonald was an easy choice for their reception; it offered an elegant setting, spectacular views of the river valley, and convenience for out-of-town guests. After the church ceremony, the newlyweds made a stylish grand entrance wearing matching leather jackets. Eight weeks of dance lessons definitely paid off—guests cheered at their flawless first dance while sipping signature cocktails.
