Romantic Jasper Park Lodge Wedding
Jillian + Jason: Romantic Jasper Park Lodge WeddingPosted by Blush Magazine • Posted on July 21, 2020
Jillian spent a summer petitioning to keep the Edmonton City Centre Airport open, where pilot Jason was managing the hangar. They were too shy to speak to each other until the wrap-up party—with the help of some liquid courage.
The Proposal
Jillian had no idea Jason was planning to propose when they booked a last-minute trip to the Rocky Mountains. They hiked a favourite trail that leads to a breathtaking view of Banff, and Jason seemed in a hurry to reach the top. When they arrived at the lookout point to take in the scenery, Jillian could see the question written all over his grinning face.
The Big Day
The couple wanted their wedding to feel like a getaway while still being close enough for most guests to be able to attend, and the Jasper Park Lodge provided a beautiful mountain backdrop. Jillian and Jason knew they were taking a chance on weather by booking their wedding for the May long weekend, but they had their hearts set on an outdoor ceremony. Not even the wind and rain could dampen the celebratory mood as the two best friends were finally married.
