Winter Banff Wedding

Lindsay + Tommy: Winter Banff Wedding

Posted by Blush Magazine Posted on December 6, 2018

Tommy first met Lindsay while interning at a sports medicine clinic in Minnesota. Lindsay’s dream of playing pro tennis would soon take her to Florida, but she moved back a year later. When their paths crossed again, Tommy knew he wanted to share life’s adventures with her.

The Proposal

While visiting Lindsay’s family in Palm Springs, Tommy planned a hike for the morning of Thanksgiving. When they reached a clearing, a group of their friends and family popped out from behind a boulder. Lindsay’s confusion turned to elation when she turned around and saw Tommy on one knee.

The Big Day

Their sights were set on a winter wedding in Banff, but they wanted a venue that could accommodate the ceremony, reception and their guests. They decided on the Fairmont Banff Springs as soon as they stepped into Mt. Stephen’s Hall and saw the stunning snow-capped mountains in the background. They imagined sparkling white snow falling during their nuptials, and their dream came true just moments before the ceremony. “It felt like we were in a snow globe!”

Favourite Moments

They exchanged their own written vows, which was Tommy’s single favourite part of their day. For Lindsay, the memory she’ll cherish most is the sweet moment when Tommy became emotional during their first look. “I feel incredible fortunate to have Tommy by my side for all of life’s adventures!”

Advice from the Newlyweds

“Be patient and be present. Patience is not easy, but you owe it to each other to work as a team. Be present with each other through the process, especially on your wedding day.”

Looking Forward to Most Now Being Married

“I know it sounds cliche, but I am most looking forward to continue building a life together and starting a family. I know Tommy will be the most incredible father and I’m excited to see him in this role.”
