Enchanting Fairytale Wedding
Natalia + Mike: Enchanting Fairytale WeddingPosted by Blush Magazine • Posted on August 28, 2014
The day Natalia planned to close her online account with Plenty of Fish, she received a message from Mike. She gave Mike a chance because of their mutual Polish heritage and after the first date, they both knew they’d found their match.
The Proposal
A few years later, Mike proposed in romantic fashion. He took Natalia to a dinner theatre and then surprised her with a room at the Fantasyland Hotel. Greeted by an abundance of candles, rose petals and photos of her and Mike scattered around room, Natalia was a little confused, but when she turned around it all made sense—Mike was on his knee holding the ring in one hand and his speech in the other. With overwhelming joy, Natalia said yes.
The Big Day
Emotions rose high on the big day, but a sense of calm washed over the two when they joined hands at the altar. The DIY décor added ample personal elements to the wedding and the enchanting atmosphere was dually representative of Natalia and Mike’s love. A special keepsake the couple will forever cherish is the high back bench from the reception. They opted to sit on a bench instead of two separate chairs to symbolize their unity. The bench now occupies space in their bedroom and serves as a memento from their first dinner as a married couple.

Natalia: “When I was walking down the aisle and seeing all of my friends and family and most importantly the most amazing man standing at the alter smiling at me. It was a moment I had always pictured when I was younger and I felt it was finally coming true.”
