Modern Intimate Wedding
Janine + Jason: Modern Intimate WeddingPosted by Blush Magazine • Posted on December 7, 2020
After Janine spent nearly a year building and designing her dream home with Jason, she didn’t expect to start on another big project. But when Jason proposed on moving day, she happily said yes. “It was the most perfect way to start making memories in our new home,” she says.
The Big Day
The couple wanted a modern wedding that brought together their favourite people in one of their favourite places. They always loved going to the Nash for dinner, so they held their ceremony and reception in the bright and airy dining room and continued the party in the chic bar area. The beautifully revived historical landmark required only some fresh flowers and a few personal touches for décor. They styled their cake table with both the topper and veil used at Janine’s grandparents’ and parents’ weddings.
Not even a freak snow storm that briefly cut the power in the restaurant could put a damper on their day. Janine loves reliving her favourite moments: spending the morning with her mom and bridesmaids, and the emotional first look with her dad and then her groom. Jason loved being announced as husband and wife because it signalled the end of the formalities and the start of the party.
