Okanagan Vineyard Wedding

Nav went back and forth over the perfect time and place to propose to his high school sweetheart, Madison, but eventually decided to keep it simple and popped the question at home before a weekend of skiing and celebrating with friends—just what they both wanted.

The Big Day

When COVID-19 derailed their original wedding plans, Madison and Nav took it in stride and were married in July 2020 with only nine guests present. They planned a larger vow renewal for their first anniversary at the 50^th Parallel Estate Winery, chosen for its capacity, outstanding food and drink options, and stunning Okanagan setting. Since they were already married, Madison and Nav spent the entire day together, including helping each other get ready in the morning.

They had a slow, romantic first dance on their wedding day, so Madison and Nav decided to have a more upbeat first dance at the vow renewal. Despite not getting much practice due to a heat wave, the couple had a blast busting moves together on the dance floor. Madison’s favourite part was running and jumping into her husband’s arms. Nav found joy in watching his loved ones laugh, dance and connect with each other for the first time in a long time.

Madison and Nav have been together for eleven years, so marriage hasn’t really changed their day-to-day lives. They are simply happy to “continue to love and appreciate each other, walk together in life, and grow as individuals and as a couple.”
