Winspear Centre & Glasshouse Bistro Wedding
Brandi & Brad's Glasshouse Bistro WeddingPosted by Blush Magazine • Posted on July 13, 2015
Brandi and Brad met 13 years ago when a mutual friend (one of their bridesmaids) set them up.
The Proposal
After 6 years of being together, the proposal came at a complete surprise to Brandi one Christmas Eve. Brad was acting strange and left the room to make a phone call (to Brandi’s mom for her permission to marry her daughter). Upon his return, Brad handed Brandi an early Christmas present, which happened to be a beautiful coat. He helped Brandi put it on and as she slipped her hands into the pocket she felt a box. She was so shocked to say anything and as soon as she turned around, Brad was down on one knee.
The Big Day
Brandi & Brad’s day started off in downtown Edmonton at The Frances Winspear Centre for Music. Natural lighting shined through the floor to ceiling windows of the Winspear while Brandi made her entrance. Standing at the end of the aisle was her groom and their bridal party of 14. Later that day, the reception celebration moved the bridal party and the wedding guests to the Glasshouse Bistro, located in St. Albert’s Enjoy Centre. The Enjoy Centre was the only venue the couple toured and they were instantly drawn to it. The views and all the glass enclosures of the intimate bistro gave their wedding day the natural and casual feel the couple was aiming for.

Advice from the Newlyweds
“Start planning early and try not to stress. Invest in a great photographer and coordinator. I found Danielle Lucier and Priya Khan from Dress My Day in Blush Magazine, So being featured by Blush is a huge compliment.”
Looking Forward to Most Now Being Married
“We were driving together the next day, Talking about how fast the day came and went. After 13 years together we realized that the best was still to come as it was just the beginning of married life. We’re especially looking forward to expanding our family.”
