The Proposal

Other than Jordan, Blair’s greatest loves in life are horses and Christmas. Jordan incorporated her favourite things when planning his proposal and pre-selecting their wedding venue. He took Blair to the Spruce Meadows Christmas Market, and after perusing the wares Jordan led her to an outdoor fire pit surrounded by Christmas lights. He not only asked her to be his wife, but also what she thought about getting married at the equestrian facility. Blair said “yes” to both the man and the venue.

The Big Day

Blair and Jordan wanted to add modern twists to the more traditional elements of their wedding. Rather than having a huge bridal party, the couple just had their two best friends stand up for them. They held a cocktail party-style ceremony where guests stood and sipped champagne during their vows, then sat down to a five-course dinner complete with wine pairings. A live band played country music during the ceremony and cocktail hour, then the bride and groom kicked off the party by inviting everyone to the dance floor during their first dance.

They had full access to the property and were able to handle the horses for photos, and Jordan loved seeing how happy that made Blair.
